Since 1990, NYTEX has been a Leader in the Manufacture of Multi-Spindle, Single Spindle and Milled Components.

In 1990, NYTEX was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Thuro Metal Products of Brentwood, NY, and located in the scenic Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg, forty-five minutes northwest of San Antonio and a little over an hour west of Austin. Thuro Metal Products has successfully operated as a precision parts manufacturer since 1971.

NYTEX was first established as a state of the art, high production manufacturer of turned parts. Over the years, utilizing multi-spindle precision screw machines, Swiss automatic screw machines and of variety of secondary mills, drill presses and laths, NYTEX has manufactured a multitude of products, using a variety of materials from plastic to exotic metals. The versatility of our machines allows NYTEX to manufacture products from the smallest diameters up to 3-1/4” inch diameter. As NYTEX grew, the company added primary and secondary CNC milling capabilities.

In 2005 Thuro Metal Products sold NYTEX Automatic Products to NYTEX Acquisition Inc.. Our President, James Zimmerhanzel brings 17 years of manufacturing experience to the company. James is a graduate of Texas A&M University, BBA Accounting, class of 85’. In 1996, he was chosen by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of the 40 Under Forty Rising Stars.

Randy Settles, Vice President of Manufacturing, has served NYTEX in that capacity since its inception. He provides over 26 years of machining experience to our operation and remains on top of industry innovation through continuing education.

The company is a long time member of the PMPA (Precision Machined Products Association). Being part of the PMPA provides an opportunity for NYTEX to improve its knowledge base through education and networking as well as demonstrates our company’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the industry.

As part of its dedication to quality, NYTEX achieved its ISO 9001:2000 registration in January of 2007.
